"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Stop thinking in terms of how others view you.

IF YOU LOVE IT, LIVE IT.

When we fell from the Beat, feet first, into a generation that would define the world: the decadence that would forever be known as Camelot, we lived what we loved. It didn’t matter to us what the others thought. We were happy and we wanted them to be happy with us. In retrospect, I’m certain they wish now that they would have been.

We were the ones who camped-out in the fields of a 600 acre dairy farm just so we could listen to music and smoke pot; we were the ones who rallied for civil rights so ALL could be equal and free. It didn’t matter to us what the others thought. We were free and we wanted them to be free with us. In retrospect, I’m certain they wish now that they would have been.

"AND THOSE WHO WERE SEEN DANCING
WERE THOUGHT TO BE INSANE BY THOSE
WHO COULD NOT HEAR THE MUSIC."
FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE
(1844-1900)
