"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

The first week in May has brought many lasting pleasures: pale rooms on bright nights; rivulets of sunlight through tree shaded paths; pungent scents of salt air and freshly mowed lawns; placid breezes; ripe red strawberries; sun-tea, and open windows.

The spousal unit put up an Arbor in the Angel Garden.
I planted blue Wisteria, to grow over the Arbor.
Hostas found a home beneath the blossoming Maple,
and
a Fairy Wings' plant joined my Ferns in the shade of the Fairy Garden.

We’ve been tending and clearing, planting and cultivating. We’ve been basking in sunrays, and spreading Pea Pebbles ....... no time to be indoors tapping desires of summer. It’s here.

I'm still around. For some reason the connection is lost when I try to reply to your e mail. Spooky huh? I've been trying since your no good news note, so, since i need for you to know I'm not ignoring you, here I am. Glad to see you've opened your world again! If I can get my brain to work long enough, I'll get a letter out the old fashion way...ciao for now! I.
