"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Journal entry

I know I’ve been rather reticent in posting these past couple months. I attribute the blockage to the season. The weather has kept us all indoors. That being said, there really isn’t much to post. Unless, of course, you want an update on my soap opera. No? Didn’t think so.

There are a spattering of dry days where we take full advantage and go for walks with Oz and do some garden tending, but for the most part there are books to read and movies to watch.

With the spring season upon us, I’m looking forward to better days and inspiration. In the meantime, my little chickadees, love one another.
