"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Percolations

There’s no such thing as too many books

Despite my best intentions…… oh, drat, who am I kidding? The temptation to choose a book by it’s cover has won-out, again. The tale is quickly told. The scattered thoughts have realigned and I string them up for a quick snippet of a read to see how well I’ve chosen just by the look of them.

This morning I came across the most delicious looking books, and I just couldn’t help myself. Not only are they intriguing to look at but, after having read a few pages from each, they've compelled me, no, they've enslaved me.

Could I be any more superficial? I know. Right?
