"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

......go ask Alice

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by mathematician and author, Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, written under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll (1832-1898)

First Edition Manuscript published July 4, 1865 – only 23 copies are known to exist

"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?" *

I love books, I love bookshelves, I love bookstores, I love libraries, I love stories, I love words, and I especially love the anthropomorphic creatures that come to life before my very eyes!

Sir John Tenniel’s acid-laced illustration from
Lewis Carroll’s (suppressed)first edition

I live my life in the imaginings of the words I read and the words I write. And I so do look forward to tumbling down the rabbit-hole** each and every day.

I do not confuse imaginings from realities. I know the difference. I simply choose to take the ‘red pill’, metaphorically speaking of course, and stay in Wonderland.

Come join me. If you dare.
