"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Know when to fold……

How is it that some of us get stuck in a rut, and others live out their dreams?

Those of us who live in circumstance mitigate and make excuses for the hand that is dealt. Not realizing that there is a choice to ‘fold’.

“If you want to be free be free” Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens 1948-

If you are stuck in a rut, no matter how safe it feels there comes a time when enough is enough. Whose life is it anyway? Certainly not the wife you no longer love or the child who has his own life, his own dream. Certainly not the parent you feel guilty about leaving alone, or the boss who never appreciates you.

We live. We die. What happens in between is a choice. Do you want to be free? Do you want to visit Bliss and stay a while? Then get on the train and see where it takes you. Don’t look back. Don’t regret.
