"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Unabashed braggadocio

Today, while the spousal unit and Ozzy were at the dunes (again), I took a short walk through the neighborhood --- and worked on a brick-path that I started over a month ago, and couldn’t finish then because mother nature decided to throw us a curve ball. Anyway, the path that goes no where, as the spousal unit calls it, will set-in a bit, and that will happen with the rain. Oh yes, it’s supposed to rain again tomorrow. What a surprise.

This gorgeous day started off with a symphony; lapsed into the mystic with a breath-taking Rhododendron, and a beautiful Magnolia; majestic geese on the dunes for the dude to marvel; and a bug for the boy to pester.

Perfection.
