"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

As I was surfing the net this morning, I found this on a garden site. It is For Sale for 89 US Dollars. Eighty Nine. Yes, you read right.

The spousal unit has, over the years, brought home many pieces of driftwood. With some, I’ve made wind-chimes and garden art, but I never thought to make a planter. Today, my garden room will be all a flutter as I make one of my very own.

Pictures, of course, to follow.
