"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Percolation

I bought this book because I like the writing style of this author. I read The End of Mr. Y, and reviewed it here. If Our Tragic Universe is anything like Mr. Y, I don't even care what it's about, I am certain to enjoy every word. The reviews are mixed. I’m told: there is no story; no plot; nothing much happens. But that’s the beauty of it, don’t you see? I liked Mr. Y for the same reason I will like Tragic Universe …. The author writes just outside the parameters of literary genius. This madness is not for everyone, but it is for anyone who likes to think and reason. I’m looking forward to reading this book.
