During the cold season, especially when it rains, we tend to turn into robots. We start the new day pretty much in the same way we did the day before and the day before that…
I reluctantly throw off the bed covers. My feet search around in the dark for my slippers, and then they walk me down the creaking stairs into the kitchen. I groggily grab my sweater from oft the chair, and shuffle through the dark lair. I turn-on my central processing unit then take care of personal matters while the flickering light from the laptop awakens the dank, coldness in the room.
I’ll turn the heater on. Just long enough to dissipate the chill, and wrap a blanket around my legs while I sit quietly at my desk. I check my email then click on FB and meander the ‘halls’ to snoop into the lives of friends and family far away. Once satisfied that all are still alive and well, a game of on-line Backgammon has my full attention, after which, a perusing through the annals of the blogosphere takes me into the light of day.
I hear the waking sounds of the spousal unit and the boy, as they too prepare for their daily rituals. Whilst the dude is busy checking off his morning sacraments, and if things unravel correctly, I’ll write a little something for my blog as the fragrance of freshly brewed coffee fills the house.
This is the way it is.
We never deviate.
Ozzy, grudgingly goes outside to take care of business, and rushes back inside where he eats his breakfast, then comes over to give kisses of good morning before settling down on the couch where sleep takes him back into a menagerie of waiting dreams.
It’s the same every day.
We never deviate.
We are the creatures-of-habit we've turned ourselves into.
This is the way it is.

Comforting isn't it? Good thing they are GOOD habits!
Glad you've decided to proceed with this journey, and lucky I checked in...just in case.
I.
