"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Journal entry

I suppose it would be redundant of me to tell you that it is raining again …… so I won’t. Actually, we haven’t had rain in two days and none is expected for at least another week. Needless to say, the dude and I have been rounding-up the leaves, baggin’ ‘em up and haulin’ em’ out, so to speak. We finished today and the yard looks clean and fresh. All is in order for the winter months ahead.

Now, all that’s left to do is make a new TBR stack so my ‘indoor’ days will be full of adventures with new friends to keep me company.

Umm .... I wonder.
 Epic Fantasy? .....
