"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

caught and grown around these here parts .....

Just the other day as the dude and Oz were walking through the neighborhood, they stopped by Ron’s to say hello. Ron prepares for his trek through winter by going out on his boat to fish for whatever the catch of the day is around these parts. Happens he caught Salmon a few days back. He also caught and gave us fresh Crab which I, right away, made into a spaghetti sauce and forgot to take a picture.

Today George called over to give us Red Leaf, green beans, peas and a carrot. Homegrown salad tonight…..sitting pretty next to a Patty-Melt and a cold frosty Root Beer. I love it here !

Never fear, the smoked Salmon is being savored,
one slow bite at a time...
