"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

FIVE STARS

I’ve been much too preoccupied trailing after Tennyson with Halt, Horace and Will to even think about this Blog.

Even though I've finished reading Halt's Peril, I would not be able to review it without giving away a crucial piece of information, so I’ll not comment on Book Nine of the Ranger’s Apprentice at this time.

Suffice it to say that Flanagan has proffered another five star performance!

There is one more book in this series.
I suppose it couldn’t go on forever. Ah well.
The final journey will be taken in April 2011.
Sad face.
