"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

It's all relative

78 degrees out there today, boys and girls, and it feels like 100.
Just came inside from mulching a small portion of the garden,
and I am actually wiping sweat off my neck!

I can just imagine what you Texans are saying right now
(and, from the looks of my on-line Weather Widget,
California and Italy are sweltering too).
OK, alright… geesh, so the Oregon Coast is not sweltering.
 Semantics!

Just guzzled down some Earth2O, and I never thought water could taste sooooo good.
Taking advantage of the sun though: put my jar of water with tea bags-in out on the deck, for some SunTea.

Tasty.

Well, guess my break is over.
Think I’ll finish mulching in the shade.
See ya.
