"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Houston, I do believe we have Berries!

I plucked this Bramble Bush last year,
from oft the side of the road that isn’t a road.

It was then small but still prickly.
When I planted it in my Secret Garden,
I had no idea what type of Berries it would produce,
if any at all.

I see now that it is a healthy producing Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) scrambling scrub.
Eventually, it will grown atop the Studio roof,
creating a marvelous arbor over my garden.

I am certain the Dude is now cringing at the thought.
