Artemis Fowl is back!
Yes indeed.
My dearly missed friend, the nefarious criminal is back.
I’ve been reading some mixed reviews on this, Colfer’s latest Artemis writing.
Seems that Artemis is under some sort of spell.
Could it be that goodness has taken hold of him?
No, say it isn’t so!
Though each Fablehaven book is in excess of 500 pages, the series is a fast read.
The characters are endearing.
Even the ones who shouldn’t be.
I have to thank the spousal unit for introducing me to Kendra and Seth.
I didn’t think I was going to like them but now I just can’t seem to get enough.
La Sombra del Viento is the second book by Carlos Ruiz Zafon that I now own.
The Prince of Mist being the first.
Most of this Gothic novel is written in the first person, and is a book about a book.
The story begins when an antiquarian bookseller introduces his ten-year-old son to
"The Cemetery of Forgotten Books,"
a warehouse of endless shelves of books no longer read and in danger of eternal obscurity.
I need not say more.
These three books are now on my nightstand.....
percolating
.
