"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Percolations

EEK!!! I’ve gone and done it now! I just ordered the first nine books in a series that I’d never even heard of before. I suppose I need a departure from the Fantasy Young Adult genre as my head is spinning into a dizzying frenzy. I‘ve read so many YA books lately that the 12 year old something in me is starting to surface. So, my dear Blog readers, I’m off to Cedar Cove.

I read the first few pages in book number nine and found that I wanted more. Can you imagine such a thing? This Science Fiction; Fantasy; Young Adult; Thriller; Spooky; Murder; Mystery toting fanatic actually wants, no, desires fresh blood!

The first in Debbie Macomber’s Romance genre, (what?) is 16 Lighthouse Road. The series takes place in the small town of Cedar Cove, Washington where we begin to meet the characters - um... residents, and get to snoop into their lives.

16 Lighthouse Road is where Judge Olivia Lockhard lives. Controversial Judge Olivia Lockhard. The Family Court Judge who hands down unusual decisions.

Second on the list is 204 Rosewood Lane. The Librarian of the town, Grace Sherman lives here. Her husband just up and disappeared one day. No hint of him in the last six months.

Book three is 311 Pelican Cove. Rosie Cox. Recently divorced from Zack. Judge Lockhard hands down a bizarre child custody arrangement.

Behind the scenes is a dead guy. Who is he?
Roy Mc Afee, Cedar Cove’s Private Investigator is determined to find out.

So, you get the picture.
I’ll let you know later if I’ve found a new town to live in.
For a while anyway.
