This is one part of a two part story originally published under the title of *Remember When.
Some readers (I’ve been reading other reviews), are a bit perturbed that they were duped into thinking that Big Jack was a new ‘In Death’ release, vowing never to read her again because of it. Are you kidding me with this? So what if it’s been split into two parts? So what if it was originally published inside another book?
How old are you people, ten?
Big Jack is a good story and I will certainly be getting Hot Rocks (the second half), and Remember When (the whole) for my J.D. Robb collection. Since I don’t read the books she writes under her real name: Nora Roberts, I would have missed out on this one had it not been published on it’s own. So, kudos! I say. So there!
Big Jack: Someone is looking for missing diamonds from a decades-old heist, someone who's killing for them. That’s where futuristic NYPSD Homicide Lieutenant Eve Dallas enters. In order to find the killer, she has to find the diamonds.
And, in order to find the diamonds, the Lieutenant has to read the book (Hot Rocks) and follow the clues. It just so happens Hot Rocks is all about the heist written by one of the main protagonists in Big Jack. Ya’ see, that’s why I love J.D. Robb……..she always keeps me guessing.
*Remember When was her first co-authored book:
Nora Roberts, her real name; and J.D. Robb, her pseudonym.
The book was meant to be both a stand alone novel (Roberts), as well as part of the 'In Death' Series (Robb).
