"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Very funny, she said sardonically.

The cold is hovering around the mid 30s today, and asked if he would care to go exploring for water-falls, the spousal unit replies quite calmly and with a straight face, “It’s cold today. The wind chill is 68 below zero.” I paused. Not knowing if I should take him serious. Then I realized that this was just another one of his ‘witty’ attempts to be funny.

Hilarious

Keith and I are not nor have we ever been in the same room when it comes to humor. His is dry, and mine? Well, I’m not sure what type of humor I have, if any. Though I do find certain things to be funny and I can yuck it up with the best of them.

Humor isn't just about telling jokes. It's the way we view the world. It encourages ‘right’ attitudes. So when the two of us just happen to be in the same room, and laughter abounds, one of us usually falls to our knees laughing the kind of laughter that makes you pee in your pants and cry all at the same time.

It’s a good thing to laugh. But an even better one to laugh holding onto someone as they try to pick you up off the floor.

Thanks for the jab today my dear, but not quite side splitting.

Great blog as usual. I wish I had time to read. I'm pretty much stuck with my audio books but they're better than nothing.
