"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

A little levity to keep it real…..

Being 60+ has its perks

No one expects me to run – anywhere.
People call at 8 pm., AND ASK, "Did I wake you?"
I can eat dinner at 4 pm.
I can sing out-loud, anywhere.

No one pays attention when I break into a dance in public.
Nobody cares if I wear High-Tops under a skirt.
I can fart and not miss a beat.

I can pretend to forget (for convenience sake).
I don’t have to listen. What? What did you say?
I can sleep all day.
I can walk down the STREET in my robe and slippers.
 I can if I want.

All my dues have been paid.
I can finally be MYSELF!

Make sure you take your I.D. with you when you're in your robe and slippers.
