As you know, I love words. I love to read books that have been waiting silently and patiently for years, simply for my eyes to caress them alive again. I have many such books in my library, so many that I hardly have time to read them all once, let alone two, three and four times over.
My weaknesses are the books written in epistolary form. Isn’t that a most delicious word? Epistolary.
Griffin and Sabine, and 84 Charing Cross Road are two that I’ve reread recently. The writing, in both books, is delectable. And I don’t even need to add salt as they are quite delicious all on their own.
Would you like a taste?

“My days are barren but my nights are heady with you...
I feel you moving to your dark side.Give your shadow a chance to unveil itself.”

“The book arrived safely, the Stevenson is so fine it embarrasses my orange-crate bookshelves, I'm almost afraid to handle such soft vellum and heavy cream colored pages…...I never knew a book could be such a joy to the touch.”
I am currently enjoying Harry Potter/book three. Nearly finished, aside the distractions as above stated. What are you enjoying, aside your distractions, that is?
