"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Quit

Last night I smoked my last Cigarette. I don’t feel any cravings so much as mild withdrawal symptoms. A dull pain centered in the right Occipital Lobe does not alleviate even with Advil, and of course, as anticipated, irritation. With altering physiology, comes to mind, I have been staying to myself as much as possible. I am a bit daunting, even in the best of circumstance.

So kiddos, day one comes to a close and we are all still breathing.
