"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

Fair warning

I admit it. There are a few blogs and a few facebooks that I would like to follow. But I don’t for one reason: they already have a kazillion followers! I’m sorry but I just have to point out the blatantly obvious here, who even knows a kazillion people let alone have as blog-facebook-twitter-myspace and whatever else ‘Big Brother’ has brainwashed us into “following”, followers?

I suppose we are all just a little, tiny bit narcissistic. Just a little, tiny bit “…. full of myself so as to believe that everything and everyone is all about me.” Of course it is.

You're probably not even reading this because you’re too busy reading all those ‘followers’ flocking at your Web door to stop for even a moment for the experience of something ‘outside the box’.

I don’t know about you but I’ve begun to live vicariously through the tap of a key and the surf of the web. It seems that I am no longer content with the who-gives-a-crap that spews out of my head, and have turned to the who-gives-a-crap spewing out of your head as well.

I just love going down the Rabbit Hole without a second thought. I am egocentric, and so what? I’ve fallen into manic fixation, and I do believe I like it.

In future, if you don’t want me muddling about in your business, writing about you and the stupid things you say and do, set your profile to private.
