"For us, our house is not insentient matter—it has a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it is of us, and we are in its confidence, and live in its grace and in the peace of its benediction. We never come home from an absence that its face does not light up and speak out its eloquent welcome—and we can not enter it unmoved."
—Mark Twain, 1896

come out......

Did you know that on your birthday the Sun returns to the exact position in the sky that it was the day you were born? This is called a Solar Return.

Some do not believe in the power of the moon, sun and stars, citing mumbo jumbo. But the influence of the Universe (or the God figure) on the person within is undeniable. Justify your convictions if you must. Go ahead, continue to suffer, feel guilty, inadequate. Continue to second-guess everything you do in favor of someone else’s view of you. But if you have a mind to, come out. Meet yourself. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

There is an amazing transformation that happens when the body we live in is shed. An illumination (or the light of Jesus) appears. Do you know the term: “an eye opener?” Literally, that’s what happens. Now, right at this moment, I am me. I am without influence of the vessel that claims me.

Beneath the surface of the shell is the sub-conscious (the Soul), the unintentional (the Holy Spirit). We all live in there, yet few know how to find it let alone open it. If there is something that has no depth, it is apparent, and therefore shallow. This ‘something’ is of no interest to me.

Why would anyone be satisfied with that which is above the lifeline when there is a gift of imminence that allows us to see the life that lives beneath it, in the mist?

For a very long time, I gave up all hope of Dragons and Fragrant Concubines, Ice Wizards and Storm Riders. Without the knowing, I was a prisoner of my own making. But now, within the mystical realm that surrounds me, I am thrust into myself and welcome the distraction. I gladly join the Sufi in a ‘toke’ or two (strictly for medicinal purposes, of course) and connect with the path of spirituality without pretension.

As for you, my fellow Rider, when will you be walking into the mist?
